LAS VEGAS (Oct. 17, 2026) – More than two dozen residents and staff members of the shareDOWNTOWN Fremont East apartment community joined together today to adopt their spot in downtown Las Vegas. Specifically, they spent two hours cleaning up the streets around the building as part of the Adopt-A-Spot program sponsored by the city of Las Vegas.

“shareDOWNTOWN has always been committed to building a beautiful community downtown and that includes working together to keep the streets around our buildings clean,” said Jason LeDell, managing partner of Cherry Development, which owns shareDOWNTOWN. “So, we were very excited to learn about the Adopt-A-Spot program and have shareDOWNTOWN Fremont East partner with the city of Las Vegas on it. We had a great turnout of residents for the inaugural cleanup effort on Saturday, and we will continue our commitment at Fremont East while also looking at future opportunities for our other buildings.”

Adopt-A-Spot was established by the city of Las Vegas in 2010 as a beautification program for groups to keep neighborhoods clean and litter free. Through the program, the city provided the residents of shareDOWNTOWN Fremont East with the necessary tools and supplies for their first cleanup effort on Saturday, Oct. 17.

As an adopting entity, shareDOWNTOWN will participate in a two-year term for its selected location committing it to monitoring and maintaining the area with regular cleanups and reporting violations as necessary. Violations include but are not limited to trash and debris, graffiti, high weeds, inoperable/junk cars, abandoned buildings, buildings with code violations and cleanliness of curb lanes in public rights-of-way.

After six months of successfully maintaining its spot, specifically 11th Street from Fremont Street to Stewart Avenue, shareDOWNTOWN Fremont East will be recognized with an Adopt-A-Spot sign from the city commemorating its commitment to keeping its area in downtown Las Vegas clean and litter free.

After the cleanup was finished, LeDell and the apartment management team hosted a resident social which included games like ping pong and corn hole as well as free lunch from the downtown pizzeria After Hour Pizza.
